Dear Lawrence,                                                                                   

Now that I have finished your fascinating book, APOCALYPSE 2012, and you have pushed my ignorance of Mayan and many other myths about dooms day back several years.  I wish to commend you on what must have been incredible research and an equally incredible sense of humor.  Don’t ever lose that humorous style for making bad things readable.

Thank you also for treating fundamentalists, particularly your friends from South Africa, so respectfully.  Most evolutionists and anti-creationists do not show that grace.  Thank you also for acknowledging that Isaac Newton was “perhaps the greatest scientific mind in history,” and yet he was an ardent Christian who wrote several commentaries on the books of Romans, Psalms, and Revelation.  I am not altogether sure he would have accepted the Bible Code even if he had a computer.  Like me, he thought God inspired His Bible so people could be helped and blessed by merely reading it and keeping its commands.  The statement that the Bible code teaches that Jesus will return in 2012 is news to me.  I have studied prophecy for 60 years and have never found such teaching.

You may be intrigued by the fact that better than the “code” to prove the accuracy of scripture, the over 500  prophecies of the Bible that have already been fulfilled, 109 of which were fulfilled by Jesus the Messiah, from his birth, life, death, and resurrection prove His true identity, and prove the supernatural origin of the scriptures.  No other person in history ever fulfilled more than 9 or 10.  These fulfilled prophecies assure us that the other 500 prophecies that have to do with the future and the end of the age will, in their good time, also be fulfilled.  That is what the Bible means when it says, “in the fullness of time.”  One of these days, God’s eternal plan for the future will be reality and we will all see that THE BEST IS YET TO COME (hopefully, the title of one of my future books).

Thank you also for being kind in your treatment of me and my books on page 182, though I would like to correct you, if you don’t mind.  Maurice Strong, the thirty year Machiavellian influence on the inept and worthless debating society they call the UN, was never thought of as a model for Carpathia.  Actually, His mentor and the man who made him  rich would have been a better model, but even he was never thought of in that capacity, seen by the fact that he was murdered by that Carpathian character.  But what can you expect from the antichrist who will be more evil than Hitler, Stalin, and all the world dictators put together?  Now you can understand why I am so passionate to reach the unsaved in wanting them to personally accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior before that day…so they will not be LEFT BEHIND.  Frankly, from what you admitted of your personal faith in Jesus, it should not be difficult for you to call on the name of the Lord and be saved.  (Romans 10:9-13 or John 3:14-18)  Even Larry King, an admitted skeptic, told me personally that he believed “Jesus Christ was the most influential man who ever lived!”  (Making him one out of 13 billion)

That however is not the reason for this letter.  I have two questions that have bugged me for years and I would like to ask you as a “science consultant,” (the answers of which you probably know right off the top of your head), would you be so kind as to take the time to answer these for me?

QUESTION ONE

On page 223 you mention the “billion ton comet headed our way.”  I have long thought that one of the Biblical prophecies of the end time, Rev. 8:8-9, could give us a clue when it will take place.  For about 24 months after Christ raptures all believers into Heaven, these verses state, “Then the second angel sounded; and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood; and a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.”  Such a meteor or comet, to wreck such havoc, will take considerable travel time to come through space and hit the ocean.  With the advanced computerized telescopes of today, has any astronomer reported seeing your “billion ton comet” on a collision course with the earth?  And could that be scheduled to arrive sometime in 2012?  I agree with you, so much end time Bible prophecy is being fulfilled as we live that the next big change for man on this earth could be very close at hand.  (If in the next few months or years you learn that one to two billion people are missing from all over the world and no one really knows where they went, don’t say I didn’t warn you.)

QUESTION TWO (in parts…)

In 1978, on a 46 country speaking tour, I found myself having coffee in the Metropol Hotel at #1 Karl Marx Square just off Red Square, with an American engineer from Detroit, Michigan.  He was working for the Exello Corp., building a new truck factory in the Soviet Union.  He was an expert in diesel engines.  He asked me why the U.S. gave the largest electro magnetic generator ever built at that time to Russia (over 250,000 watts of power as I recall).  I explained to him that I had read about the gift and it was to enable the Russians, who had very little arable land and were desperate for food to change the weather patterns.  Based on the scientific experiments of a Russian genius named Tesla, they wanted to beam the generator up into a particular jet stream that they thought would heat the  stream and possibly others, and so change their weather patterns that they would enjoy less winter and warmer weather providing their farmers longer growing seasons.

Based on the above, I have several questions for you….

1) Have you ever found reports of what happened to these experiments?  From what I have read, not much has been accomplished to improve life in Russia.

2) Is it possible that if such attempts were launched, and may have backfired, contributing to the vast changes in weather conditions all over the earth in recent years?

3) Could this be as good or a better explanation for global warming than the CO2 in my Right Guard or even exhaust emissions from our cars?

4) If this is true…would it make a great book for you to write telling “the rest of the story”?
